FLEXIBLE
MATERIALS AND/OR LARGE PARTS
AIF uses economical steel rule
dies for soft or flexible materials and for extremely large parts.
Steel rule dies can be constructed for most flexible materials and
can accomodate holes, slits or scores for easy folding. |
|
KISS
CUTTING AND/OR HIGH VOLUME
AIF uses high speed Preco die cutting presses for precision kiss
cutting of parts with pressure sensitive adhesive, or for efficient
runs of higher volume requirements. |
|
RIGID
MATERIALS AND/OR SMALL, INTRICATE PARTS
Progressive, compound, blanking,
or cutoff dies constructed from tool steel or carbide are used for
cost-effective, higher volume stamping of harder materials, and/or
small size parts with intricate, close tolerance features. |
|
LAMINATING
AND PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVEACKING
As an authorized 3M Converter,
AIF is able to apply pressure-sensitive adhesive to virtually any
of its fabricated parts. Small parts can be provided in strip form
for ease of handling and can be "kiss cut" to the release
liner to facilitate removal and insure fast, easy installation.
Acrylic or rubber based adhesives or foam tapes can reduce costs
by eliminating fasteners and/or facilitating assembly. AIF
also laminates various foils (such as aluminum and copper) to
polypropylene, polyester, fiber and other materials, for EMI/RFI
shielding. |
 |
HEAT
FORMING
AIF can provide plastic parts heat formed with angled bends. Heat
formed parts are strong and rigid, and stay in place. Reduce your
costs by replacing non-structural metal parts with more economical
plastic. |
|
PRINTING
AIF can provide parts
screen printed, offset printed, or rotary printed for high volume
runs. Printed notations include identification of
function or part, warnings and instructions. |
|
SUB-ASSEMBLY - AIF performs light assembly of stamped components.
Pre-assembled components can be ordered under one part number
on one purchase order. Eliminate your in-house production costs
and your inventory management worries.

| STOCKING
PROGRAMS
- AIF works with customers in developing stocking
programs on custom parts, enabling them to shorten lead times and
reduce inventory investment. |
